Jacob writes about the huge ships, how they can be guided by a little rudder wherever the pilot wants to guide them. Also you can guide your life by your tongue (your words) Jacob 3:4-10. Believe or not, everything in your life can be changed when you change your thinking and your words. "The seed is the word of God" (Lucas 8:11). The seeds are given to us so that a part of them we can eat and the other part we can sow. If you start to sow the word of God to the ground in your heart, in time you will be cutting down the harvest. The sowing of word of God is done by speaking / recognising constantly everything that is written in the word of God. So speak aloud daily the word of God! Notice that if you at the same time sow the negative words of disblief, they will also grow the harvest of their own. The ground may never choose, what it will produce, never. The ground will produce the harvest only from the seeds that have been sowed. Stop all thinking and speaking which is againts the word of God, no matter what! The word of God is the truth and more true than your feelings or the circumstances. The Bible says: Above every charge keep the heart! Your heart, your innermost, your soul, it is the ground where your life's garden is and you are the gardener! John writes how people will succeed only to the extent that his soul (his innermost) will succeed. |
When you face a challenging situation, for example sickness, start to speak aloud what the word of God says. "With his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:4-5). Speak that daily. The Bible says: "Death and life are in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21) and " they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof". It is not irrelevant what we speak - not really! What is in your heart? Start to fill your heart with the seeds of the word of God. Don´t get the wrong impression that the speaking alone would change everything. The Bible teaches that we have to be, not only the hearer, but the doer of the word of God. The one of the most important things is to adapt our own words along with the word of God. Watch out your words, watch out what you speak. Your words are the seeds. Start to think and speak according to the word of God. The God is good God, He has reserved a good life, a life worth of living, for you, too. Matti Wendelin © 2009 Full Gospel for All Nations
